🔁 Resetting computers

Just like a vacation can refresh your mind, resetting your computer brings it back to a clean, reliable state. eTop uses this reset to rule out deeper software issues and help prevent future downtime or frustration.

Here’s what you need to know to make the process smooth:

About Resets

Resetting a computer can take a couple of hours, depending on your internet connection and computer setup

🪫 Requires power and internet connection
Your computer will need to stay connected to power and network during the time the system resets.

Before the Reset

✅ Back up your files
Save everything important to either your server folder or OneDrive.

✅ Tell us what you need
Let eTop know about any required applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat) and printers you’ll need reinstalled.

After the Reset

🔐 Sign in
For most people, this is your Microsoft 365 email and password. Not sure what they are? Contact eTop.

📥 Let things sync
Your apps, Outlook, and OneDrive data will begin to reinstall and sync automatically. This might take some time depending on your internet speed and how much data you have.
